Stock Market All Time High - After a record closing high of 21,004.96 points in one-hour special Diwali muhrat trading session on Friday, the BSE sensex is set to reach an all time high. The BSE-30 share index, which rose 0.5 percent on that day is now just 200 points away from its previous best. The current market situations are also favoring this much anticipated rise as the foreign fund inflows has maintained a uniform run in Indian share market. In 2010 itself, foreign fund investment of $26.6
billion has powered the benchmark index 20.3 percent higher. Other major factors affecting future top gainers at BSE/NSE includes the state-run Power Grid Corp after the company set the price band for its share sale to raise up to $1.7 billion at 85-90 rupees each, a discount of 12-17 percent to its Friday closing price. Another big update is from Larsen & Toubro (LT.NS : 2168 +7.45) as the engineering and construction firm is bidding for an Oman refinery expansion contract estimated at $300 million. All these factors seem to ensure one thing for sure. An all-time high for BSE sensex amidst a fact that MSCI's measure of Asian markets other than Japan was down 0.3 percent by 0253 GMT.
